Andy Amit Chopra

Founder

Raised in the commercial real estate industry, Andy brings extensive professional expertise and intimate knowledge of operations and investment management to Blueleaf. As an entrepreneur, he has co-founded three successful real estate investment and/or management companies. Andy has led investment analyses and management acquisitions and development for co-investments with many institutional capital partners, totaling over $500M since 2010. Andy graduated from the University of Kentucky and earned his Master of Business Administration at Oglethorpe University. In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University as well as a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investment and Asset Management from Cornell University. Andy enjoys giving back through both servant leadership and philanthropy. He is a co-founder of Kehlo, a non-profit dedicated to providing playgrounds to economically disadvantaged schools throughout the world. He also serves on the boards of the Atlanta chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization, Georgia State University Real Estate Alumni, Khelo, and Aperture Hotels.  He funds two annual academic scholarships for first generation college students at both the University of Kentucky and Georgia State University. Andy lives in Atlanta with his wife Arinn, son Virran, and daughter Nadiya.  Fun fact:  The entire family are avid travelers and have visited a collective 60 countries across the globe.  The goal is to make it to every country on the planet over time.

Michael E. Wells

Finance

Michael E. Wells is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the hospitality, real estate, and development industries. His career in hospitality began in 1984 in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, where he worked for the Leisure and Hospitality division of the Rank Organization as controller. In this role, he managed financial operations for a diverse portfolio that included hotels, campgrounds, timeshare and fractional ownership properties, real estate sales, and country club operations. These operations encompassed golf courses, restaurants, retail outlets, and recreational divisions for the Rank Organization, a British-based company. In 1998, Mike relocated to Northwest Florida and joined Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Over a decade, he held several leadership positions, including Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Rental and Owner Management, Vice President of Commercial Development, and Vice President of Association Management. His tenure at Sandestin involved overseeing significant developments such as the Village of Baytowne Wharf and the Market Shoppes at Sandestin. Mike further expanded his expertise by working with ResortQuest from 2009 to 2013 in Finance and Accounting leadership positions and as a General Manager. In 2013 Mike joined Banyan Tree Management and held positions of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. In this capacity, he oversaw a portfolio of nearly 30 franchised hotel properties across the United States, demonstrating his strong financial and operational leadership though 2021. In 2007, Mike had co-founded Premier Accounting Services, providing specialized financial management solutions to clients in the hospitality and real estate sectors. Building on this success, he co-founded Premier Management Company in 2021, further solidifying his commitment to delivering top-tier management and operating services in addition to accounting specific objectives. With a robust financial acumen and an ability to communicate complex financial concepts in understandable terms, Mike effectively collaborates with owners, operators, and managers to interpret financial results and support informed decision-making. His professional approach ensures that businesses achieve optimal performance and sustainable growth.
